A small family-run bakery in Friedrichshain. Laminated dough rolled every morning: croissants, cruffins, danishes, cardamom buns and the odd banana-pudding pastry, with specialty coffee from Five Elephant. Open since 2024, from eight in the morning until the trays are empty.

Bake and Take is a tiny bakery on Proskauer Straße with white tiles, a wooden counter and a window straight into the production room, where the dough is folded and rolled before the shop opens. There are a few seats inside and a couple of tables on the pavement, but the name says it: most of it goes into a box and out the door.
The counter changes with the season. What stays: plain and pistachio croissants, pain au chocolat, cruffins with vanilla-caramel or strawberry, fruit danishes, cardamom and cinnamon buns, and savoury croissants with salmon or prosciutto. Coffee is Five Elephant, pulled on a proper machine, and the staff will happily walk you through the tray.
